Not directly related to sitcoms (lineup is all post-2000 dramas) but it is replacing the "Decades" diginet in some markets.

The new network will replace Decades, another Weigel-produced diginet, on most, but not all of the CBS O&Os. However, according to Weigel’s VP of Marketing Will Givens, Weigel remains committed to Decades and has already lined up new affiliates in Chicago, Los Angeles and elsewhere.

The CBS Television Stations carrying the new network are: WCBS New York, KCBS Los Angeles, WBBM Chicago, KYW Philadelphia, KTVT Dallas-Ft. Worth, KPIX San Francisco, WUPA Atlanta, WBZ Boston, KSTW Seattle, WTOG Tampa-St. Petersburg, WWJ Detroit, WCCO Minneapolis-St. Paul, WFOR Miami, KCNC Denver, KOVR Sacramento, KDKA Pittsburgh and WJZ Baltimore.

Many major markets in the large cities are dumping decades. I am in the Philly area and no more decades for us in the near future. I have not watched it much lately, nothing really new or exciting. I could be wrong, but I would not think this new network would be that much more appealing or a ratings grabber either? I think Decades must be struggling and I believe it does not cover a very large part of the US, especially come September.

It's a little surprising. I thought Decades was pretty popular within SitcomsOnline.

Well, I don't get Decades, nor am I likely to get this channel, but it's nice to see Cold Case coming back to some channel.

I just wonder if it'll be all hacked up due to music issues.

I sure hope I don’t lose Decades in Memphis. I don’t watch it a whole lot but occasionally they have some good binge marathons on weekends and I like those.

Post 2000s TV? NO thanks. And what's the point, there's plenty of that already on most other channels.

All shows that you can see elsewhere, go figure.

None of the shows nor concept of the channel interest me. I do get Decades, but I don't really care for it personally. The two shows I would watch on it (The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart) are on while I'm at work and most of the time, I get a really bad signal. Don't know why, but the channel will always show up scrambled and sometimes, it would just be a black screen.

I also see Touched by an Angel is coming which means it will probably leave MeTV and Start will air it early mornings which I don’t like. I just hope this means MeTV will clean up their Sunday night lineup and bring back last laughs.

Touched By An Angel hasn’t even been on MeTV’s lineup for that long.

Sounds to me like the beginning of the end for Decades.

Maybe some of its programs will find their way back to MeTV.

Touched By An Angel hasn’t even been on MeTV’s lineup for that long.

It’s been on since last September on Sunday nights only although they had occasionally aired Christmas episodes before then. Decades had a binge marathon of it in February 2017 and then they had another one in December 2017 the weekend before Christmas as a tribute to Della Reese. I don’t know if I will be getting Start or not I just wish they were airing it at night instead of early morning. I just hope Start doesn’t replace Decades. Plenty of other channels I have no need for Start could replace.

I just wish Decades wasn't dropped in my area period.
