Why did they replace Dixie Carter with Mary Ann Mobley ?

I heard that Gary Coleman didn't like Dixie Carter, so he fired her...

I heard that too but i wonder why he didnt like her. I didnt like maggy but if anyone was to play her i like dixie carter better

I saw one episode with Dixie Carter so far, the Hollywood one, and she seemed so boring. I've never seen an episode with Mary-Ann Mobely yet, but I'm hoping to see one soon so I can compare. Hope Mary-Ann Mobely isn't as boring. Yikes!

and im not convinced that Mr. Drummond is even in love with her. I didnt see how he was so in love with her or anything

I think ThomasE said that Shavar Ross told him that it was Gary that got Dixie Carter fired.
I agree that I just think she seemed a bit plain. I think they probably were in love since Drummond chased her to Hollywood to get her back, I still haven't seen the first episode that they meet yet.

I still think Mary Ann Mobley brings the character to life more.
Sometimes she is funny because of how she delivers her lines like in Sam's Missing but I think she's more creative with the character.

No! When they switched stations she didn't have a contract with that station!

I think she's mean.. the way she yells and bosses people around.. lil witch.

Ok, maybe I did do something wrong too, and I'm sorry for that. And I just want to be here and discuss Diff'rent Strokes and got off topic with it, so I apologize. I just got a little mad when she couldn't admitt that Dixie is not her mom. But I'm going to shut up now. ;)

Er, thanks, but I'm not really trying to stand up to the moderator's. I'm just saying that LittleDixieCarter should be banned, since all she's done, at least on the DS board, is cause nothing but trouble, fights, and bad feelings.

Someone as petty as her doesn't deserve to post here, IMHO.
Especially after what she did to me.

Now that i think about it i remember a few times i posted some messages on here and she was pretty rude and insensative to me and others posting on the board. Like i say, Once a Crook, always a crook.

Excuse me with all due respect, there was no need for that comment. I was not trying to be rude on the board when I said leave her alone(Dixie Carter's Daughter). I have no enemies on the board and don't expect to have any. On the other hand, I don't put up with nonsense either. All this stuff about "standing up to the moderater is not even called for" I am not here to manipulate anybody I will stand up for what is right though
