If you're talking about the "SD" button, it stands for Sammy Davis Jr. Cosby started wearing it when Sammy Davis Jr. died.

Thank- you for answering that because for the past two weeks every nite at midnight I watch two episodes of the Cosby's before I go to bed and I noticed the button on every episode and I thought it said "SP" and I was asking people what does that button mean. I knew it had to be important because it never failed he had that button on!:crazy:
