There will never be another Johnny. I've posted this video on another thread but I will post it again . Johnny dressed as Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias singing "To All The Girls I've Loved Before". It's hysterical! Johnny does it with such a straight face and Julio keeps cracking up! Nobody but nobody will ever equal Johnny's wit and talent! How I miss his kind of late night show! A great loss! Please take the time to watch this video. It's so funny! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l61kKhbAHeo Foggy 07-06-2018, 09:13 PM That was funny Penny. It is a shame that some people may have never watched "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson." It was so full of guest stars and happy entertainment. Johnny Carson's last show covered a lot of memories of his 30 year run. (46:00 minutes long) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVPl4eMEuC0 Here is the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Jay's eulogy (and tribute show) after Johnny Carson died on January 23 2005 (19:50 long) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADHDDyI0N74 After 30 years on late night tv, you never knew his political affiliation. He once said "Never make the mistake of thinking your a political commentator" words today that the late night hosts must have missed. Babalu 07-06-2018, 10:41 PM That was funny Penny. He once said "Never make the mistake of thinking your a political commentator" words today that the late night hosts must have missed. Johnny was better than everyone else combined. He was the unquestioned master of handling guests and getting the best from them. You can't explain to people that weren't of that time how important Johnny Carson was to TV. His show on its own generated 15% of NBC's profits. Today of course they're all unwatchable because they think their purpose in life is to brainwash everyone into being a liberal. Not only is that painfully stupid, it's not funny. Even though he wasn't really political, I couldn't stand Leno. He stole half his show from Letterman, half from Howard Stern, and made it unfunny. I can't believe anyone could watch him. If you want to see a great Carson tribute, watch David Letterman's first show after Johnny died. l2LhOhmKIUc |
