I was right...without Team USA...as well as Italy, Chile, and The Netherlands...viewing dropped!

It also doesn't help that the games are on in the morning!

Netherlands did participate in 2014, but USA failed to qualify again.

USA Lost to Belgium in 2014 in the World Cup.
I see Team USA as The Cleveland of Soccer Teams...US (no pun intended) against the world!
Well...There's Always 2022.
It’s because people could care less about all of this to begin with.

Yes sorry you're right. Given that soccer is not your national game you did well.

I was thinking there might be some people within the U.S. who actually support the teams that are actually participating in this year's World Cup and don't care about their own country's team.
Plus, Qatar (the host country of the next FIFA World Cup) also failed to qualify this year.

I've seen the Midwest watching The World Cup...since there's a big Croatian-American population over there.

This Year’s World Cup is not the same without Team USA but I’m favoring England to win the World Cup this Sunday once they through today’s semis against Croatia
The media is shoving soccer down our throats here in America. Baseball or football is all I care about.

Should Fox Sports have given up their broadcasting rights to this year's FIFA World Cup just because Team USA didn't qualify for it? Thereby meaning the FIFA World Cup will not be broadcast within the United States at all?
Fox Sports is expected to lose money for this year's World Cup (https://www.wsj.com/articles/fox-losing-money-on-world-cup-without-u-s-team-1531311913)
Viewership was down by one-third from 2014, as this year's ratings were essentially decided when the U.S. men's team failed to quality for the first time since 1986. ALSO: YouTube TV said "timing is horrible" as it suffered a service outage during the England-Croatia game. (https://gizmodo.com/youtube-tv-totally-screwed-fans-trying-to-watch-the-wor-1827522423)
