So sorry to hear this. The band was named after Bay City, Michigan by throwing a dart at a map of the United States, which landed near Bay City, Michigan which is about an hour's drive north of me straight up I-75.

Their songs are just as good today. as they were back in the 70's.

The Bay City Rollers also did a cover of Dusty Springfield's song I Only Wanna Be With You and it's a cool cover. I remember hearing the song Saturday Night and I thought it was clever the way they designed the intro with them spelling Saturday

Saturday Night is the song that made them stars in the USA. My favorite Rollers tune is Money Honey, which is one of their more heavier songs. I Only Want To Be With You is good too, much better than the Dusty Springfield version in my opinion. Bay City Rollers in some ways were the 1970's version of The Beatles, but the Rollers popularity was shorter lived.
