A few years ago, I posted a schedule for a digital subchannel similar to MeTV and AntennaTV that run classic TV shows, which had many revision. However, I didn't know about the Syndication Exclusivity law, which is very apparent since no shows (as far as I know) currently air on more than one broadcast TV station, including subchannels. The schedule I wrote in my first thread for this channel is what I would air if I ran it and could air any show. Eventually, this schedule may look like this, but now I am posting what would air if/when the network is just starting out.

Since MeTV has two sister networks (Heroes & Icons and Decades), I am writing this as if the network were a sister network to AntennaTV, which is more logical since MeTV has two sister networks and AntennaTV only has one now (which maily airs movies instead of classic TV series). Also, this would help give access to AntennaTV's library of shows, adding shows no longer airing on AntennaTV (much like Decades) as well as shows on the back burner of their schedule (currently airing overnight) that would be more likely to get dropped. The rest consists of shows not airing on any other subchannel or no longer airing on these networks. Here is what I have so far:

Also, this would help give access to AntennaTV's library of shows, adding shows no longer airing on AntennaTV (much like Decades) as well as shows on the back burner of their schedule (currently airing overnight) that would be more likely to get dropped.

In addition to gaining access to Antenna TV's TV show library, partnering with them as a sister network (much like Decades is owned by CBS and MeTV's owner Weigel) would help get a huge boost in gaining affiliates by adding this subchannel to Tribune-owned TV stations (Tribune owns Antenna TV as well as This TV). For example:

.2 Antenna TV
.3 My proposed subchannel
.4 This TV

Also, since Sparks (which airs on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:00am) was produced by WRAL-TV 5 in Raleigh, which is owned by Capitol Broadcasting), this subchannel logically would be added by the two Capitol Broadcasting owned TV stations; WRAL-TV 5 and WILM-TV 10 in Wilmington, NC.

Good question! First of all, some of the shows are currently airing on AntennaTV (such as Head of the Class, Silver Spoons, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch), but are on the back burner since these shows are currently airing late at night, and would be more likely to get dropped from the schedule. In fact, Sabrina is getting dropped from AntennaTV in mid-July when Archie Bunker's Place begins it's run there. Some of the shows on my schedule air on cable TV networks, but cable doesn't count in terms of Syndication Exclusivity.

As for furs on The Price is Right, simply cutting out furs on shows that gave them away would make the shows choppy and inconsistent since TPIR is a game show, and the furs given away are part of the show's continuity.

Case in point, our local Tribune-owned station had an exclusive on Andy Griffith Show. That contract evidently expired, but they still show TAGS. When it expired, the local MeTV affiliate then picked up TAGS on MeTV. Now it's shown by both.

When VH1 ran The Best of American Bandstand in the mid-to-late 90's, the episodes were aired in edited 30 minute installments instead of an uncut full hour as each episode originally aired. I have no idea if this was due to music clearances, or if VH1 simply wanted to air these episodes in a half-hour format.
If the former is true, should I go the safe route and air the 30 minute edits of these shows?
