Tootie: (laughs a little bit) and because I’m the youngest I sometimes feel that you guys make a big deal about everything I go through
Natalie: Tootie we didn’t mean to make you feel bad
Tootie: Oh you didn’t (sighs) it’s just that no matter where I go I’m always gonnea be the youngest and that’s something I can’t change, but I think you guys need to learn to respect the fact that I’m getting old now and I don’t always need your protection
Jo: I can respect that Tootie

Jo: (has a confused look on her face) no there not there from Pookey Bear (suddenly has a nervous look on her face when she realizes her mistake)
Tootie: how’d you know this card was signed Pookey bear
Blair: (trying to act inosent) Yeah Jo how’d you know that card was signed Pookey bear
Tootie: (getting angry) I can’t believe you would read my card how could you do that to me
Jo: tootie before you blow a gasket why don’t you see what kind of candy you got
Tootie: (looking annoyed) oh alright (she opens the box and then perks up a little bit) cool nuts and chews
Blair: I hate nuts and chews
Jo: Who cares it’s not your candy
(the phone rings from the other room)
Tootie: I’ll get it (just as Tootie leaves to go into the other room, Mrs. Garrett and Natalie come inside the shop each carrying a box of supplies)
Mrs. Garrett: (she’s trying to hold up her box, but she’s having trouble) Ah Jo Blair could you give us a hand
Jo / Blair: (glance at each other then back towards Mrs. Garrett and Natalie. They start clapping and cheering)
Natalie: Very funny guys that joke’s older then Mrs. Garrett (she pauses for a moment and laughs slightly) sorry
Mrs. Garrett: let’s just go put away the supplies
Mrs. Garrett / Natalie / Jo: (head into the kitchen)
Blair: (changes the sign on the door to close and heads into the living room)
Tootie: (sitting on the couch talking on the phone) Ok I’ll see you Saturday night by Jason (she hangs up the phone just as Jo comes in the room)
Blair: (sits down on the couch) another date with Jason on Saturday night
TOOTIE: yeah (she
Blair: (puts her arm around Tootie) Ah Tootie, young Tootie I’m so glad to see that your heading down the right path in life going out on Saturday nights (pauses for a moment) just think before you know it your going to have a string of guys lined up like me
Jo: A string of guys lined up you haven’t had a date all month (sits down in the chair at the end of the couch)
Blair: (turns around and shoots a mean look) who asked for your opinion and it just so happens that I have a date with Peter on Saturday night (turns back towards Tootie) so what do you and Jason have planned for Saturday night
Tootie: nothing special just the usual were going out to dinner and then seeing the 8:00 o’clock movie.
Blair: so don’t you think it’s about time we got a chance to meet him
Jo: (has a look of warning on her face) Blair
Tootie: what do you mean?
Blair: you have been seeing Jason for over a month now, and I think it’s time we got a chance to meet him
Tootie: (looks down to the ground as if she’s searching for words after a couple seconds she looks back up at the girls) well the reason I haven’t brought Jason around here is because I know exactly how you guys are gonnea act around him
Blair: (has a look of confusion on her face) what do you mean by that?
Tootie: blair you’ll be just like my mother (jo laughs a little bit) you’ll ask him question like does he go to school does he work what does he want to do in the furture (looks over at Jo) and Jo you’ll act just like my father and say he’s not good enough for me
Jo: How can I say he’s not good enough for you I haven’t meant the bum yet
Tootie: Look you guys I don’t want to hurt your feelings (starts to raise her voice) but this is my life stay out of it (she quickly heads upstairs)
Natalie: (comes in the room just as Tootie heads upstairs) What was all the yelling about
Blair: Tootie just told us the reason why she hasn’t brought Jason aren’t here
Natalie: (sits down on the couch next to Blair) really how come
Jo: she says that were gonnea act like her parents and ask him a bunch of questions
(after a moment of silence)
Natalie: so what do you think we should do now
Blair: I say we follow them on Saturday night and find out just who this Jason person is (looks over at Jo) Jo are you with us
Jo: Blair I already told you how I feel, and you just heard Tootie just now stay out of it (Jo stands up and heads upstairs)
Natalie: you know maybe she’s right and besides don’t you have a date with Peter on Saturday night
Blair: Oh yeah that’s right and I don’t dare cancel I haven’t had a date on a Saturday night in month
Natalie: Well I’m going up to bed now good night (Natalie heads upstairs)
Blair: night Natalie (stands up and walks over towards the phone picks up the receiver) Hello Peter this is Blair I’m sorry but I’m going to have to cancel our date for Saturday night…….My grandmother’s sick and my mom asked me to come home for the weekend…..ah Thanks for being so understanding you’re the greatest….. Ok bye (hangs up the phone then heads upstairs)
AT THE MOVIE THEATERS-----
(the show still hasn’t started yet, so it’s pretty light inside, several people are talking and having there own conversation)
Tootie: (sitting down towards the front talking to Jason) I’ve loved John Travolta ever since he first did the Barbarino dance how many more minutes until the show starts
Jason: (looks at his watch) about 10 minutes do you want a soda
Tootie: root beer sounds good
Jason: Ok I’ll be right back (Jason gets up walks past Tootie and heads out the door)
Blair: (walks in just as Jason leaves, and sits down towards the back of the theater. She looks around trying to spot Tootie and Jason)
Natalie: (walks in and without realizing it she sits down right infront of Blair)
Blair: (leans over) Hi there
Natalie: (jumps up from being scared) Oh geez (she turns around to see Blair) Blair what are you doing here. I thought you had a date with Peter
Blair: well what are you doing here I thought you were going to stay home to watch a movie on cable
Natalie: Oh well I thought coming here and seeing Grease sounded much better
Blair: (pauses for a second) yeah I wanted to take a gander at Jason too
Natalie: (looks around trying to spot them) well do you see them anywhere
Blair: (looking around too) No I don’t (pauses for a second) Wait a minute there’s Tootie
Natalie: What’s she doing by herself
Blair: (sounding concerned) I don’t know maybe he stood her up
Natalie: he better not have after I spend 5 bucks to get in this place
(down towards Tootie in the row right behind her a guy stands up and walks up to her)
Peter: Hi tootie I thought I saw you
Tootie: (turns towards the isle) Peter hi. What are you doing here? I thought you had a date with Blair tonight
Peter: (looking confused) Blair told me she had to go home to visit her sick grandmother
Tootie: (looking confused) Sick grandmother? Blair’s grandmother isn’t sick
Peter: (sighs) mind if I sit down (takes a seat) I don’t believe this way would Blair lie to me
Natalie: (looks at Blair with shocked) Blair that’s Peter with Tootie
Blair: (getting angery) I can’t believe he would do that do me. How could he be so cruel as to go out with one of my best friends while my grandmother is sick
Natalie: (sounding confused) Blair your grandmother isn’t sick
Blair: (stands up) Yeah well I’m gonnea take care of this right now (she head down towards Peter and Tootie. Natalie also goes down there) Peter how could you
Tootie: Blair Natalie what are you guys doing here
Blair: I think the question here is what are you doing here with him
Peter: Blair you told me your grandmother was sick
Blair: (trying to look innocent) Don’t change the subject what are you doing here with Tootie
Natalie: Blair why don’t we go back and take our seats (she tries to get Blair to go back to there seats, but Blair refuses)
Blair: No I want to know what peter is doing here with Tootie (sounding like she’s getting upset) I mean my sweet dear grandmother is home sick in bed
Everyone in the theater: (looks over at them) YOUR GRANDMOTHER ISN’T SICK
Peter: and Blair you can relax I’m not here with Tootie were just friends
Blair: you mean you don’t have romantic feelings for her
Peter: (smiles a little) Romantic feelings for Tootie of course not
Jo: ( from the back of the theater. She’s reading a newspaper. Stands up and shouts out) WHY NOT ISN’T TOOTIE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU (she heads down to where everybody else is)
Tootie: (sounding annoyed) JO
Blair / Natalie: (sounding confused) Jo
Blair: what are you doing here?
Natalie: yeah I thought you said you were staying out of it
Jo: Well my curiosity got the better of me
Jason: (approaches them carrying two sodas) Hi what’s going on here
Tootie: Jason
Blair: that’s Jason
Jo: (smiling) now he’s what I call a Pookey Bear
Jason: Tootie what’s going on here who are these people
Tootie: (pointing to each person) that’s Natalie, Peter, Blair, and Jo. Better known as my mother and my father
Natalie: Tootie were really sorry about all this
Blair: Yeah we only had your best interest at heart
Tootie: (looking very annoyed) Jason suddenly I’m not in the mood for a movie would you mind if we just skip the show
Jason: No not at all (Jason and Tootie go out in the isle)
Jo: Jason were really sorry about all this. Is there anything we can do to make up for it
Blair: how about coming into the shop on Monday and getting some free pasta salad
Natalie: (looks over at Jo who doesn’t look to happy about giving away free pasta salad) Jo it’s the least we can do after all this
Jo: Yeah I guess you right. The money can come out of Blair’s paycheck
Blair: why should it come out of my paycheck
Jo: you started this whole thing if you would of just minded your own business none of this of this would of happened
Everyone: (walks up the isle. Arguing as they head on out)
Back at the house up in the girls room------
(Natalie / Jo / blair are all sitting on there beds ready for bed)
Jo: So what did Peter have to say about all this
Blair: Well after I explained everything to him. He said that he understood
Natalie; Oh that’s great Blair so are you going to see him again
Blair: No he also said he never my lying ugly face again
Jo / Natalie: (laugh a little bit)
Natalie: sorry Blair
Blair: (smiles a little bit) that’s ok I guess I desvered it
Tootie: (comes out of the restroom ready for bed)
Natalie: Tootie were really……
Tootie: I know your really sorry Natalie (she goes over and sits down on her bed) you’ve been apologizing since I got home tonight
Jo: Tootie do Blair and I really act that over protective of you
Tootie: No I guess not
Blair: Then I don’t get it why didn’t you want us to meet Jason
Tootie: It’s because I’m the youngest
Jo: (looks at her with confusion) Are you just now figuring that out
Tootie: (laughs a little bit) and because I’m the youngest I sometimes feel that you guys make a big deal about everything I go through
Natalie: Tootie we didn’t mean to make you feel bad
Tootie: Oh you didn’t (sighs) it’s just that no matter where I go I’m always gonnea be the youngest and that’s something I can’t change, but I think you guys need to learn to respect the fact that I’m getting old now and I don’t always need your protection
Jo: I can respect that Tootie
Blair: Yeah me too and I promise I won’t spy on any more of your dates
Tootie: Thanks Blair
Blair: I’ll just hire a Private Dectective
Jo / Natalie / Tootie: (raising there voices) BLAIR
Blair: I’m only kidding (she lays down in her bed)
Tootie: (gets up to turn out the lights then goes back into bed)
Blair: Night everyone sleep tight
Natalie: night guys
Tootie: night Natalie good night mom and dad
Jo: (sounding everyone) alright already good night
