Just to give the exact context of the question (https://www.quora.com/Has-social-media-ruined-the-element-of-mystery-and-value-system-in-the-entertainment-industry), I’ll paste the relevant paragraph from the magazine (https://www.net-a-porter.com/magazine/348/15) here.

Today’s Media Industry Is Out Of Hand

“Social media has changed everything. There was more mystery before, but now, people just show their butts (https://www.quora.com/Why-do-some-people-within-the-entertainment-industry-disapprove-of-social-medias-existance) all over the place. I’ve never been one to share much of my life. It’s a shame how out of hand this industry has become, and where the value system has gone.”

I'm not on social media but if a woman shows her butt on her Facebook page doesn't it tell us something about her before we've even met her?
