I’m really feeling out of shape right now. I walk twice every other day, and nothing is happening at all and I do not know what to do.

Something else other that walking may have to be done.

Get yourself the South Beach Diet books, bone up, get the ingrediants, and start cooking. The food's delicious and the diet works! :thumbsup:

Walking is usually the best thing but a better diet could help too. I'd suggest talking to family members or maybe your doctor and see what they think would be the best diet/exercise for your situation.

I talked to my dad yesterday and he said that I should just keep walking and stay toned.

i lost 45 pounds so far!! I now weight 216!! i was 260!! I been watching what i eat & i also cut back on cokes!! I also do this walking in place for 30 minutes!! i also try not to eat nothing pasted 7:00 pm then i also drink lots of regular water!! I do recommend flavor water!! its no calories or sugar in them!! I like organ cream soda , pineapple coconut green apple & fuji Apple!! you can get them at wal mart for $1 dollar each!! i also still eat out! i try not to get too much of fires or onion rings!! I also still eat what i wont but some times i get side salad instead of fires!! ! I also been back drinking diet cokes& i been drinking coke zero its no calories or sugar i n them also!! my faovirte is pepsi max zero!! I also been getting up early in the mooring walking out side!! I been walking out side for pasted couple of months!! I walk twice an day for about 50 minutes to around 40 minutes!! but lately i hadn't been walking out side mainly cause its been too hot!!

Continue walking, it does take a while to get into shape, but you will.

Congratulations on losing 45 pounds:wave: Losing weight is hard for most people, you should be very proud of yourself. It takes a lot of discipline to lose weight and to motivate yourself to eat right and exercising.

Yes, keep doing that and also maybe do some biking. Either a regular bike or an axercise bike for indoors. You can set it up in front of the TV and watch TV while you are riding! Keeps it less boring!;) Also maybe get an exercise DVD and work out to that , like some aerobics or something! ! ;)

I used to do all this and was in good shape and a nice weight! Now I got away from it and I'm chubby! :pSo it really does work if you stick to it, believe me! :)

At your age, I don't think you really need to be on a diet. Just as long as you mainly choose healthy foods to eat! Lots of veggies with your meal, fruit for snacks and drink a lot of water! And watch your sugar and salt intake! ;):wave:

I've been walking and I'm on a diet again. I always lose the weight and then I gain them all back. lol Walking is great exercise though. Eventually it will work. It just takes time sometime.

I've gotta get back on eating better...I've been trying to dodge pop and eating breakfast will make you lose weight. I also don't eat meat once a week...mostly Mondays.

I'm planning on becoming a member of Planet Fitness and get the $20 deal since I get hydrotherapy, massage, and body enhancement.

thanks guys! im proud of my self!! my goal is to weight 185 by october! i thats how much i weighted in high school!! ! october i go back to my regular doctor!! ! I mostly what i did for me is quit eatting late!! I used to eat lots of bologna & fruit snacks!! there kind of my kryptina!! I also stopped drinking cokes!! now i been back drinking cokes! but i don't drink too many cokes! I been drinking pepsi max zero & coke zero! there kind of like diet cokes but there's no calories or sugar in them!! !! i Also drink flavor water & v8 juice! but i don't drink regular v8 juice!! i drink strawberry fusion it tastes like fruit punch & organ splash it tastes like organ fruit punch! ! I also still eat what i wont i just try not to eat too late!! i also cut back on eatting out like instead of fires or onion rings i get like an side salad!! every now & then i get fries or onion rings ! I also do walking in place!! I also hadn't been exercising lately because i think i twister my leg!! i think its getting better!! i also got the idea to drink regular water at night cause after i had surgery they didn't wont me to eat nothing around 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm then they wanted me to drink lots of water! then i noticed i was losing weight so i just started drinking regular water at night!! I also stopped eatting late!! I also used to stay up unitl 5:00 am to 6:00 am but i was taking this medicine that made me sleepy i would sleep in all day then stay up late at night!! ! so my dad read about the side affect now i get up earlier! sometimes i exercises earlier in the mooring!! now i take my medicine late at night!! so now i get good rest!! ! i also got this vibrate machine it just shakes it helps me with my feet!! i GET Galt & tender rightess an lot!! the vibrate manchine helps me an lot with my feet!! its souped to help you lose weight!! I used to use it all the time!! then it broke then we recently brought an better & an newer vibrate manchine!! we had like 2 or 3 vibrate machines so far!! one last for 4 years then the other ones was just cheaply made!! but we got better one!!
