What would you say was the last "good" season of the show? Was it Season 8, or was it good for a little bit later than that?

MrCleveland 06-24-2018, 08:47 AM Season 7...that had the ep "22 Short Films About Springfield". Season 8 was okay, but the creativity was starting to wane. Now It's "The Show That Wouldn't Die"! RetroGuy2000 06-24-2018, 03:51 PM Now It's "The Show That Wouldn't Die"! Oh, it died. Now it's a zombie, a cruel mockery of its former self. king of comedy 06-24-2018, 08:46 PM It should have stayed in the 90s. MrCleveland 06-24-2018, 09:23 PM Oh, it died. Now it's a zombie, a cruel mockery of its former self. That's how I feel about The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones...The Simpsons are The Beach Boys of TV...they had their Pet Sounds and almost had their Smile...but Al Jean is the Mike Love of The Simpsons who said "Don't **** with the formula"! mets82 07-01-2018, 03:20 PM I'm trying to remember season 8 episodes. It's a hard question just because is the show as good as it once was? No. I think any Simpsons fan will agree to that. But even the newer ones make me laugh. |
