Hey guys! i've been watchin alf now since I was 2 I guess. and I was wandering.. do u think alf was a puppet or a man. I heard both. sometimes A man during walking scenes and a puppet for everything else is this true?

For the first 2 seasons, the man in the ALF suit was none other than a little 3 footer named Michu Mezaros (http://www.ringling.com/images.asp?image=bio-image-1.jpeg). At the starting of season 3, ALF developed into animatronics and was controlled from little holes under the set floor. Michu joined his parents working with Ringling Bros. In the last season, Benji Gregory (who played Brian) got really familiar with it, and would control ALF when he wasn't on set.

I read somewhere about the holes around the set to enable
Alf to move around,but didn't know that there was someone
who actually portrayed Alf before they went to the animatronics.
I thought that it was always animatronic.
