While promoting Grace and Frankie at an Emmy event over the weekend, Tomlin stunned Jane Fonda with the revelation that Parton is working on a Netflix project (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/dolly-parton-scripted-anthology-set-at-netflix-1116714), apparently a series of films, says panel moderator Pete Hammond. He adds: "Tomlin seemed to think it wasn’t a secret as she explained it would be based on Parton’s songs, and when I asked if Dolly would be starring she said 'yes, when the script called for it.'"

Judy, Violet and Doralee will be together once again. Dolly Parton will join her "9 to 5" co-stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as a guest star in the series finale of Netflix’s "Grace and Frankie". Character and plot details are not being revealed.

The first four episodes of the seventh and final season are available for streaming now, and the final 12 episodes will premiere in 2022 on Netflix.
