In the second season of this series, there was an episode called "Where There's Smoke". This is the episode in which our friend Greg was seen smoking. Well, in the sixth season of "Different Stokes" there was an episode with the same title. You see, throughout the seventies, eighties and nineties, there were oodles of shows that had episodes about how terrible it is to put smoke into your body. It was all a question of political correctness. At six-thirty this evening, there was a syndicated episode of "Friends" called "The One Where Rachel Smokes". This was on the W.B. 11. I went over to that show's page and wrote about it. I called my thread "Channel 11". In the second season of "Gimme a Break!", there was an episode called "Julie Smokes". After leaving the "Friends" page, I went over to that page and started a thread called "Beautiful Bodies". This was in regards to the effects of smoke going into the beautiful bodies of Rachel and Julie. Next I went to the page of "Different Strokes" and started a thread there. Because this was my third attempt to stimulate some conversation during this sitting, I called this thread "A Third Attempt". I would be very interested in what anyone here thinks of any of my threads in regards to smoking.

I have never heard of any association with anti smoking education being considered politically correct. The message was delivered from a health standpoint and that is why the word has been out there for decades. (and still is)
We have heard how terrible it is to put smoke in your body from oodles of sources and not just television for a very long time now. It is a dangerous, dirty habit and it is a known killer.
Smoking among adults continues to decline for various reasons and anti smoking education has surely helped.

That is all very interesting. In addition to this reply, I have a reply to my thread on the "Friends" page that I started earlier yesterday evening. I am still waiting for replies to my threads on "Gimme a Break!" and "Different Strokes".
