I find it surprising that the syndicated version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hasn't had a champion since Meredith Veira started hosting it originally in 2002 but since 2009 there hasn't been a winner since Meredith Veira quit hosting the show. I do feel that there is a contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire next season who could become the next John Carpenter or the next Kim Hunt Joe Trela or Bob House or a female millionaire like Nancy Christy. I think a million dollar winner would make the ratings soar and maybe someday Chris Harrison should have a Tournament Of Champions Week next season on Millionaire and that would make Millionaire a huge hit

I think the main reason why Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hasn't had a million dollar winner since 2009 in syndication is because they spend a lot of money trying to find easy questions that would be used for the million dollar question but I do agree that a new lifeline would help Millionaire gain million dollar champions. If you recall when ABC had Super Millionaire they introduced a lifeline called The Three Wise Men which were a team of various experts and Millionaire champions and they should try to bring it back for the new season of Millionaire. And a new lifeline would gain Millionaire more viewers to see more millionaires made
