Our beloved Eastland dorm had 7 students in its unique first season, and Disney's The Little Mermaid had 7 daughters of King Triton. So, I thought I'd take that Disney classic and "Eastland it up"!

"The Little (Eastland) Mermaid"
----------------------------------

King Triton - Mr. Bradley

Ursula - Mrs. Garrett

Ariel - Sue Ann

Ariel's sisters:

Aquatta - Blair
Andrina - Molly
Arista - Natalie
Attina - Cindy
Adella - Nancy
Alanna - Tootie

And here are a couple of cast "photos" - there's even continuity with the series; Mrs. Garrett put a flower in Nancy's hair, well, now Sue Ann is putting one in Mr. Bradley's!

(I didn't cast the girls in order of age to match the birth order of the "mergirls", but rather, I just went with where I thought most of the photo mock-ups would make good matches, lol)

Haha! Very cute!!!

Mrs. G as Ursula is very inspired. Well done!

Thanks, stuff like this is what happens when my creative juices sit dormant for too long, lol.

I like how Mer-Nancy looks like she's sitting there laughing at the photographer, Mer-Blair is self-absorbed in her own half-fish beauty, Mer-Molly has the pink ruffle on top of her head, and Mer-Cindy has the spiked headdress ("I was down 'under the sea' getting my 'spikes'!" [haha] ).

And maybe "Ednula" is sitting at her vanity trying out her samples of Countess Calvet cosmetics.

I'm now reading the entire works of Hans Christian Andersen, and in his original tale of this (interestingly called "The Little Sea Maid" as opposed to "Mermaid", although he uses the term "mermaid" a handful of times in the actual story), the little sea maid has 5 sisters, not 6. So thanks to Disney for adding one more we could do an honest production with our 7 Eastland girls, lol.

Ha ha! We lucked out! One fewer princess, and Nancy would have had to be Sebastian the Crab!

Poor Nancy, she wouldn't have "earned her fins"!

She wouldn't have made it into "The Group" of Princesses!
