With the news that McDonald's has just released a Hasbro Games Happy Meal let me tell you about Hasbro Family Game Night a game show that aired on The Hub before it became Discovery Family Channel. In this show teams of families got to play versions of Hasbro board games ranging from Simon Operation Risk Sorry Connect Four Perfection and many various Hasbro Games and depending on how well the teams did on the games the winning team had the chance to use envelopes that they would win on the games in the Monopoly Community Chest at the end of the game to have a chance to win a trip to places such as Disneyland Walt Disney World Vail Colorado Legoland or Hawaii and if the team did not find the winning prize they lost all their cash and prizes. With Todd Newton as host and Burton Richardson as announcer this game show was a smart idea of Hasbro to make the classic board games come to life and be interactive. Although no longer on the air Hasbro Family Game Night reruns can still be seen from time to time on Discovery Family Channel. It would be so cool if GSN could add this show to it's lineup because it's such a fun and interesting show
