"Krypton" Renewed for Season 2 at Syfy

TV’s Superman origin story will continue. Ahead of the season 1 finale," Krypton" has been renewed for a second season, Syfy announced Tuesday.

Set approximately 200 years before Superman’s home planet was destroyed in the opening scene of Man of Steel, the series from David S. Goyer (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) follows Kal-El’s grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), as he works to restore his House’s honor and save his world from mayhem.

Just didn't feel like Superman (yeah yeah I know it takes place before Ka-El was born;) ) to me, felt like some generic dystopia scifi, plus couldn't get into any of the characters.

Funny. While I've heard the generic dystopia comment from others, I've also heard the complaint they're forcing Superman mentions too much into the show.


If you've done the first half, I'd still recommend picking up the back half of the season, maybe over the summer (although the season finale isn't till tomorrow, so I don't know yet how the season ends).


But if you do go back and watch, and still don't like it, it isn't my fault :wave:

There will be no more "Krypton" on Syfy. The network has opted not to renew the Superman origin drama series, and the recent Season 2 finale August 14 was a series finale on the NBCUniversal cable network.

With the mothership series getting canceled, Syfy also won’t be proceeding with the previously announced "Lobo" spin-off, which had been in development.
