I think that "Desperate Housewives" was very unique for a lot of reasons... because it really brought back scripted drama. For any of the wedding episodes or the death episodes, we would find out pretty late on what was going to happen. There were many times we found out the day of the shoot, we knew we had to come in to work but didn't know what exactly we were going to be doing.

I think the wedding was pretty perfect. We shot out in the woods on the Universal lot and really didn't know what it was other than a brief description, you know.. paper lanterns and what not. We walked up there and it was pretty romantic, I mean the art department did a great job.

People were a little concerned that we going to... I really hate this term but "jump the shark"... when people went and got married; the "Sam and Diane" thing and said we had to stay apart. Well, that's what the 5-year jump took care of for us in that we got to get married again.

We not only had the woods wedding, but also the church wedding in Season 5. When we shot that kissing scene at the altar they used a background artist who was similar in build and hair color to the actresses on the show and this was to keep people guessing on who it was. I was always asked if it was Teri Hatcher or Dana Delaney and it was neither of them. They were on set in bridal gowns with umbrellas all around them in order to keep the press and fans from figuring out who it was. People were trying to find out and I do appreciate the interest.

This girl, I forget who she was, was the most aggressive kisser. We don't use tongues on set, but this girl was not an actress and didn't know that so she went all in during every take. The director would yell "Cut!" and she would not stop because she wasn't an actress and didn't know, so the director had to yell "Stop!" This was all very surreal.

I miss this show so much. To me, no other drama has been as good since it ended.
