NBC Boss on Fate of Bubble Series "Timeless"

Last year, "Timeless" celebrated a miracle the weekend before the upfronts after NBC uncanceled the time-travel drama that Saturday. This year, it’s a nail-biting pre-upfront weekend with no word yet on the fate of the bubble drama ahead of its Season 2 finale tonight.
At NBC’s upfront call this morning, NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt was asked about the prospects of a "Timeless" renewal.
“We try to honor the producers, let shows run and see what they do before making a decision that is premature,” Greenblatt said, noting that "Timeless’" finale is tonight.
“We are hopeful and yet realistic as we have a lot of shows,” Greenblatt cautioned. “We are going to take a look at the shows after their run and hopefully make a quick decision on them.”
He later stressed that no decision has been made yet.
In a Twitter post earlier this morning, "Timeless" co-creator/executive producer Eric Kripke wrote about the show’s renewal chances, “I’m nervous. Could go either way.”
He called upon "Timeless" fans to tune in to the finale tonight and watch it live to give it a ratings spike, which is in synch with Greenblatt’s comments that a Season 3 decision won’t come until after the finale airs.
“FIGHT! This is up to you now,” Kripke wrote.
