CBS will be bringing back Monday comedy "Man with a Plan" starring Matt LeBlanc.

"Man with a Plan" has held steady, ranking as CBS’ second highest rated and most watched series behind "Kevin Can Wait" on Monday.

Great, I didn't think it was gonna make it! This is a good show.

Not pleased about this. I expected a cancellation for Man with a Plan as punishment for denying 2 Broke Girls a shot at a proper farewell season last season. Now it's going to be literally the only Monday show on CBS to get to come back for 2018-19 (not counting Elementary because it launched so late in the season)?

I'm very happy! It was the best sitcom on the Mon night line up.

How CBS' Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan explain the second lives of Last Man Standing and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (https://www.vox.com/culture/2018/5/15/17352724/brooklyn-nine-nine-last-man-standing-cancellation-revival-saved)
Kevin Can Wait (http://forums.previously.tv/topic/47971-all-episodes-talk-the-king-of-queens-with-kids/?page=11), which CBS canceled last week, had slightly better ratings than Man with a Plan (http://forums.previously.tv/topic/49694-man-with-an-all-seasons-discussion/?page=2), but CBS renewed the Matt LeBlanc comedy because it is owned by CBS Television Studios. Kevin Can Wait, meanwhile, is owned by Sony TV Studios. Thus CBS had a financial incentive to keep Man with a Plan going to reach the magic syndication number. The same goes for Last Man Standing, which Fox revived because it's owned by 20th Century Fox. And Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which NBC revived because it's owned by NBC Universal.

Being an unowned, aging show hurt 2BG more, if it had been picked up would have been used for spackle and aired instead of Living Biblically. 2BG also might have had a better shot of coming back if Superior Donuts had been cancelled after season 1, it was the weakest of the three freshman comedy renewals from 2017.

I think WBTV themselves should be to blame for the 2BG cancellation, also. Instead of moving it to TBS, WB just released a "Complete Series" DVD set of 2BG, an indication that WB just gave up on the show. I agree with you that Living Biblically should never have been ordered to series. Living Biblically crashed and burned in the ratings anyway.

Also, Man With a Plan is nowhere to be found on the Fall 2018 schedule. Even if it was, i'm just going to keep on avoiding it.

I'm just never going to like Man With a Plan.:(

Not a fan. It must be very expensive as it's got a ton of stars in it. It's just not funny enough, IMO.

It just barely made it to a 3rd season but I kind of like it.
