Reality Sundays at 8:00 is not needed in the fall. Toy Box never should have been renewed, and Child Support should just be used as filler. ABC wasted a golden opportunity last year to premiere a new drama there when Once Upon a Time moved to Friday. Kevin (Probably) Saves the World would have had a lot better chance there with AFV staying at 7:00, than in the Tuesday death slot stuck with the horrible lead-in of The Mayor. For the People got renewed there but only because of its Shonda connection. I hope ABC's new dramas tank, Designated Survivor was my favorite broadcast show the last two seasons. A real shame DS lost a lot of its season 1 audience.

I loved "Designated Survivor" too, but Season 2 just wasn't as good as the first.

Season 2 had a rocky start, but it improved the second half and was almost back to season 1 levels. If renewed for season 3, Michael J. Fox would have made a great addition as a regular. I do think getting rid of Hookstraten was a big mistake. The new political director was really annoying for awhile, but ended up growing on me some. Killing the first lady didn't help either, but I think that actress wanted to leave. If Kiefer Sutherland hadn't had that stupid contract clause forcing a move to LA from Toronto in season 3, DS might still have survived.

Child Support is a game show.

Child Support is a game show.Ok, I meant no unscripted Sundays at 8:00.

I feel like it would fit very well out of AFV. Usually three dramas in a row don't work, minus a few exceptions (TGIT - Grey's Scandal/Murder worked well).

What are you going to do with the ABC comedy lineup when Roseanne finises its episode order for this season? I mean, it's a special attraction, like the Will & Grace revival. I mean, Will & Grace is going to be doing 16 to 18 episodes a season. If you asked me right now how many episodes Roseanne's second special-attraction season would have, it would be 16 episodes. Any more than 20 episodes, and all these revived series' value as special attractions will be diminished.

what I would schedule

Sunday- with Last Man Standing returning to Friday now on a competing network, Sunday would be a better night to bring comedy to ABC.
7:00 America's Funniest Home Videos
8:00 Speechless
8:30 The Kids Are Alright
9:00 Grand Hotel
10:00 For the People

Monday
8:00
September- The Bachelor
January American Idol- moves two months earlier to air when The Voice is off. This would be Idol's main night instead of Sunday.
March or April Dancing with the Stars- it is high time to reduce this to one cycle a year, far from the dominant show it once was.
10:00 The Good Doctor- make some deal with Freddie Highmore so he will agree to 22-24 episodes a season.

Tuesday
8:00 Roseanne
8:30 Single Parents
9:00 Black-Ish
9:30 Fresh Off the Boat
10:00 The Rookie

Wednesday
8:00 The Goldbergs
8:30 Schooled (The Goldbergs spin-off)
9:00 Modern Family
9:30 American Housewife
10:00 A Million Little Things

Thursday- stop calling the night TGIT with Scandal gone and Shonda moved to Netflix
8:00 Grey's Anatomy
9:00 The Fix
10:00 How to Get Away with Murder final season/Station 19

Friday
8:00 Marvel's Agents of Shield final season/Child Support
9:00 Shark Tank
10:00 20/20

Midseason or Summer
Splitting Up Together
Take Two
Whiskey Cavalier

ABC sure is a bunch of slowpokes compared to the other networks on upfront week.

There is no way a Coach revival would work without Jerry Van Dyke. And when NBC originally picked it up, Shelley Fabares wouldn't have been available either. Maybe a spin-off starring Dauber and Judy would work.

The show must go on my friend! JVD was originally going to have a guest starring role in a Christmas episode
