I will do a poll for each decade going on the boards SO has. I will also add shows like Jack Benny or others that do not have their own board that I can think of.

I will also add shows like Jack Benny or others that do not have their own board that I can think of. icecream 05-11-2018, 01:43 PM 1. I Love Lucy 2. Bachelor Father 3. The Jack Benny Program 4. Ozzie and Harriet 5. Leave it to Beaver 6. Burns and Allen mikey0581 05-11-2018, 01:46 PM Of course I pick I love Lucy, Our miss Brooks, leave it to beaver and burns and allen are classics and i wasnt born til 3 decades later. I would love to check out the jack benny program one day and i wish Bachelor Father was still on Antenna Tv and Ozzie and Harriet would be picked up somewhere, I would try those. icecream 05-11-2018, 01:49 PM Of course I pick I love Lucy, Our miss Brooks, leave it to beaver and burns and allen are classics and i wasnt born til 3 decades later. I would love to check out the jack benny program one day and i wish Bachelor Father was still on Antenna Tv and Ozzie and Harriet would be picked up somewhere, I would try those.I have never seen Our Miss Brooks. Do you still get Antenna TV? Jack Benny airs in primetime Saturdays at 9:30PM between Father Knows Best and Burns and Allen. That slot probably won't last much longer though if they do Saturday summerthons again. Jack Benny is also weekdays early mornings, will move to the 5AM hour Monday. mikey0581 05-11-2018, 01:52 PM if you get decades channel its on in the morning I think 10am. ya thats cool lineup on Saturday nites im usually watching something else but maybe ill start taping it. It will suck if they change that lineup on saturdays. Too bad they too Addams Family and The Three Stooges off. icecream 05-11-2018, 01:55 PM Unfortunately Fort Wayne does not have a Decades affiliate. or Me-TV, Heroes and Icons, Buzzr, and so many of the good retronets. At least we got Antenna TV back now. Bonniegirl 05-11-2018, 02:15 PM I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver favorites. And I also voted for and like Bachelor Father, Ozzie & Harriet and Make room for Daddy!:) Some of these shows I have never seen and would really like to though, like Love that Bob. ;) tlc38tlc38 05-11-2018, 02:19 PM I Love Lucy Leave It to Beaver The Real McCoys mikey0581 05-11-2018, 02:43 PM that sucks, i really wish i still had buzzr. i dont have an antenna at the moment and my cable provider dont carry the channel they also gave up get tv and grit tv. stevea 05-11-2018, 03:38 PM I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver favorites. And I also voted for and like Bachelor Father, Ozzie & Harriet and Make room for Daddy!:) Some of these shows I have never seen and would really like to though, like Love that Bob. ;) I would like to see Life of Riley--particularly several episodes which were originally broadcast in color, which was almost unheard of in the 50s. getsmartbeaver 05-11-2018, 07:07 PM The only one I voted for is Leave It to Beaver. It's my second-most favorite sitcom of all times! It has so many great characters and great lines. icecream 05-11-2018, 07:46 PM Very close race for 1st place between I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver, both tied with 9 out of 10 votes so far. Burns and Allen is a distant 3rd with 5, and a few shows are tied with 4. Of course Lucy and Beaver would be more familiar to younger fans having usually aired somewhere, while some of the other 50s sitcoms have disappeared more. A lot of these I have never seen, am most interested in December Bride having liked Harry Morgan in M*A*S*H and Dragnet. Maybe OH Nuts would know why, it is sad that Ozzie and Harriet is the longest running live action sitcom in history but rarely airs anywhere. PhoenixAcres 05-11-2018, 08:14 PM 1. Father Knows Best 2. I Love Lucy 3. The Honeymooners 4. Leave it to Beaver Mr. Television 05-11-2018, 09:52 PM I like most of the shows on the list. I only voted for the ones that I've seen quite a bit of episodes of. I'd probably put I Love Lucy first with Leave it to Beaver close behind. Kasey 05-12-2018, 09:59 AM The Ann Sothern Show Private Secretary/Susie Our Miss Brooks I Love Lucy Leave it to Beaver It wasn't on the list but my #1 pick for this decade is How to Marry a Millionaire. |
