I've never seen Laugh-In but I do want to pick up Season 1 on DVD sometime and see how I like it. Sounds like a good and funny show.

I think overall you would probably like it, everything goes along at a rapid fire pace, lots of silly stuff going on but some good laughs too. I like the cocktail party segments, those are fun. Some of the humor is political. Laugh-In was sort of the forerunner to Saturday Night Live, SNL picked up where Laugh-In left off.

Season 1 of Laugh-In is good, at this point the show was new and trying to find it's groove. Season 2 is when things started falling into place, overall I think season 2 is the best season. In season 3 things start to slip a little, one of the reasons is because there is less of Judy Carne, but I'm partial to her because she's my favorite. In season 4 the show starts taking on a further different look due to several cast changes and new cast members, and there's little resemblance to what it was in seasons 1-3.

One character on Laugh-In that I don't like is when Arte Johnson does his German soldier schtick. I usually find that character more annoying than funny.

He is from California though! Born and raised ! Beverly Hills. Same as Michael Lembeck, his family were from NY but they were both brought up out here ! Michael was born in NY but came here at age 6 ! He has a trace of a NY accent too a lot of times, so he and Jonathan must get it from their parents! And Jonathan's Mom is from Israel!! And his accent as I said in my other post has a lot of traces of Yiddish even !! Very cool!;)

Michael, Jonathan and Davis Schwimmer from Friends (his folks are rich lawyers) all graduated from Beverly Hills high school! Jonathan and David are the same age and grew up together, really good friends in real life !! :)

But very early in his career , Jonathan actually went to NY , he started out on Broadway , so he did spend a lot of years there ! ;):)

I'm here, been busy doing things around the house and otherwise just haven't been motivated to post anything.

You are a good person being so devoted to your mom and taking good care of her like you do. My mom passed on in 2007, after she passed I felt like I lost the one person who actually cared and was concerned about what happens to me. I did have a girlfriend at the time, but a few years later she decided to betray me and leave, abandoned me and left me to fend for myself. So here I am living alone with my little dog Daisy, life isn't exactly the way I would like it but I'm thankful for what I have. Living alone has it's advantages. I have a nice house and a nice parcel of land, Daisy is a good dog, I have enough money so I can afford to stay home and not have to work, those are all good things. Maybe one day I'll meet another woman but when I think about it I'm probably better off not being involved with anyone. Eventually I might have some decisions to make, decide if I want to stay where I am or sell and move back to where my relatives are.
