What's all this talk about the 'new' Family Affair?? Is this supposed to be Buffy and Jody 'all grown up' or are they continuing where the show left off? Does anyone know if it's going to be set in the 1960's or 2000? Any comments? Why can't they just leave the show alone? This is terrible! I honestly think it'll be another horrible show with a bunch of bratty kids like 99.9% of shows these days. Is Hollywood that desperate for ideas that they have to get out the classics? UGGG.

The new "Family Affair" is a remake, not a sequel, so the kids will be young. It will also take place in the present day.

Let me say first, I grew up watching the original, and nothing will EVER compare. It is more of a homage to that show than a copy.

I've seen the New show, and taped the first couple of episodes. They changed 'Jody's' after the pilot. It's not bad, and the kids aren't 'bratty'. Cissy is a 'typical Now' teenager, like the old show only present day. Although, I could have done without the GreenPeace 'proslytising' of last weeks episode. Tim Curry as Mr. French, and Gary Cole as Uncle Bill are one of the Best parts. They can never go back to the same 'era', but, it's not bad. I'll continue to watch.
