View Full Version : Original airing of the "Blossom" pilot roygerdodger 05-06-2018, 07:58 AM . TV Guy 05-06-2018, 08:05 AM I remember when it aired on NBC that summer. I don’t recall the theme song. It’s funny that they talk about the regular theme being dubbed over for the pilot for reruns, because I don’t believe the pilot was ever part of the syndication package - it’s too different from the regular series, with different parents and a different name for Joey Lawrence’s character. I’d take what Wikipedia says with a grain of salt. The current article for the show describes how both Blossom and Molloy, Mayim Bialik’s other series, were going to air in 1990, and whichever was more successful would proceed. NBC and Fox were not going to cooperate that way. Bialik’s first commitment was to Molloy. Had Fox picked it up for another season, Blossom would not moved ahead to series (at least not with Bialik in the role), even if the Blossom pilot had scored huge ratings. DJM77 05-06-2018, 09:42 AM I was only 12 when the pilot aired, but I do remember watching it and I remember thinking at the time that it was weird that the theme song had the "D" word in it. I didn't remember that it was "My Prerogative" but I didn't even know who Bobby Brown was at the time. The only other things about the pilot that I remember were not liking it and that there was an explanation of how Six got her name.
