I have my chem final on Tuesday, but I don't get this question.
If you do your help would be greatly appreciated.
An air bubble forms at the bottom of a lake, where
the pressure is 2700 mm Hg. At this pressure, the
bubble has a volume of 2.4 cm3. What volume will
the bubble have when it rises 30 meters where the
pressure is 1600 mm Hg? (using P1V2=P1V2)

I dont know how much help I can be since Chem is currently my WORST subject but lemme see...
If your using P1V2=P2V1 wouldnt you set it up like...
2700 mm Hg * X = 1600 mm Hg * 2.4 cm3
Then just solve the equation and your answer would be the mm Hg (volume)

God, when I read questions like this one it makes me sooooo glad I'm no longer at school.
I wish I could help you but I'm afraid I can't. I never took Chemistry - Biology was my science subject.
I notice a lot of kids here post their homework questions on Chit Chat to try'n get help. Why don't you just ask your teachers? The teachers at my old school were pretty awful but at least you could ask 'em for help every once in a while.

Thanks, I used the wrong law. The correct law is P1V1=P2V2.
The final's on Tuesday, and because of Memorial Day we have
no school on Monday, which means that most of my friends are
at the beach. That unfortunately left me both teacherless and
classmateless. Your reply coupled with the correct law really
helped me.
