The old syndication package for local stations during the 1970s and 1980s used to include part of season 11. But when MeTV picked it up initially, they just acquired seasons 6-10. Sister station Decades showed a few season 11 episodes last year when they did a M3S “weekend binge”. snowpeck 05-04-2018, 07:05 PM No, MeTV has never aired season 11. Hopefully season 12 will follow. stevea 05-04-2018, 08:52 PM Snowpeck, I think it might have been TV Guy who posted this on some thread several months ago--whoever it was, said the original network version of season 12 intros did not include Don Grady, but did include Dawn Lyn. This intro seems to be "lost" in syndication. If you're in the business, can this intro be found and posted someplace like youtube? snowpeck 05-04-2018, 09:17 PM Snowpeck, I think it might have been TV Guy who posted this on some thread several months ago--whoever it was, said the original network version of season 12 intros did not include Don Grady, but did include Dawn Lyn. This intro seems to be "lost" in syndication. If you're in the business, can this intro be found and posted someplace like youtube? Makes sense. I remember noticing Dawn Lyn wasn't in the closing credits of any of the season 12 episodes she appeared in (at least in the versions that aired on Odyssey.) I'm not that much in the business, just in local TV, so unless that intro turns up on MeTV, I won't be of much help. snowpeck 05-15-2018, 02:59 PM The second half of the season officially starts on June 15th ("St. Louis Blues" is scheduled) so we'll definitely be getting into the even more rarely seen episodes. Season 12 shouldn't be far behind! Hazel Anyday 05-15-2018, 05:37 PM I just hope, well 1st I hope ME does get to season 12, but I hope also when they do show season 12 that the color in them is restored. In the Odyssey versions the color was all faded out and greenish. Let's hope after all these years they've worked on restoring these episodes to make them as beautiful as the season 6 shows. stevea 05-15-2018, 09:06 PM The second half of the season officially starts on June 15th ("St. Louis Blues" is scheduled) so we'll definitely be getting into the even more rarely seen episodes. Season 12 shouldn't be far behind! Yes, the second half of season 11 and all of season 12, are super-rare. The first part of season 11 episodes (basically the Chip and Polly elopement story arc) were in an older syndication package that TV Land has shown. stevea 05-15-2018, 09:13 PM I just hope, well 1st I hope ME does get to season 12, but I hope also when they do show season 12 that the color in them is restored. We can hope, but after seeing no restoration to seasons 3 thru 5, I have my doubts. All they did to those seasons is slap a CBS TV Distribution logo at the end. Seasons 8 and 9 have had no work, and still have 1990s Viacom logos on them. The wall colors vary from episode to episode. Season 10 had no work either, but still looks pretty good (as did seasons 6 and 7). Not only did the Odyssey/Hallmark versions look bad, the edits were absolutely horrible. I'm hoping to be able to cobble together relatively complete episodes, using both versions. snowpeck 06-07-2018, 04:19 PM And season 12 is officially scheduled to start on July 3rd!! Hazel Anyday 06-07-2018, 11:33 PM WOW, YAHOOOOOO!!!! I'm as excited as I've been in a long time. (That's kind of sad, actually, but that's me.) GREAT NEWS, I really am looking forward to this. The Odyssey faded color in hues of purple and green just ain't beautiful to look at. I'm watching those Odyssey S.12 episodes now and they look lousy, better than nothing, True, but still no eye candy. With the beautiful color on the new Season 11 episodes ME has had on so far, I really have high hopes that ME will now be showing restored color versions of S.12 just as they seem now to be doing with S.11. Gotta mark this day down, July 3, Wowzers! |
