This must have been done before like 100 times but anyway what characters on tv have we heard of but have never seen.Well we've seen Norm's wife Vera...well her body anyway BUT we haven't seen other TV Show wives (And other characters of course!).We've never seen Bob Saget's wife on America's funniest home videos (I'm coming right home honey") and we've never seen Red's wife Bernice on The Red Green Show ("Honey I'll be home right after the Meeting",Can you believe that my wife Bernice wants us to move to Florida?") What other characters have we heard of but not seen?

Golden Girls -Phil (Sophia's son), and a lot of Blanche and Rose's grown children. On the Brady Bunch, the Dittmeyer's (although they were in the first BB movie).

From Frasier - Niles' first wife, Maris.

From Rhoda- Carlton the doorman (though his voice was heard-voiced by the fantastic Lorenzo Music)

Spot - the Munster's pet something. You could see his nostrils I guess in the opening credits.

A few were absent for most of the run and then appeared toward the end. Like Morty, Fran the Nanny's father finally played by Steve Lawrence. And Jenny Piccallo was talked about for years on Happy Days before we saw her. Going back real far, Gladys from December Bride didn't appear til the spinoff "Pete and Gladys".

And wasn't Peg's mother in Married...with Children not seen but only heard when she moved in on the Bundys toward the end?

Kenny's brother from The Cosby Show.

Sara, the Telephone Operator on Andy Griffith as well as Juanita at the Diner.

Lars, Phyllis's husband from The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Jeffrey, Jerry's cousin from Seinfeld.

As I recall... Bobby and Mike Brady discussed "mom" before the wedding to Carol. And there was a picture.

BUT... we never see Carol's first husband.

Roger. Nancy's boyfriend on The facts of Life in season one.

One that was refrenced a few times (in the earler episodes that is) is Chuckys mother on Rugrats, who had died during childbirth I believe.

Well, this is sort of an example: Wilson from "Home Improvement". Yes, we've seen part of him but we never saw his whole face. When it wasn't behind a fence, it was always hidden in some way.

And what about families of supporting characters? On "Full House", Kimmy's family was mentioned a lot, but never shown. Also, Steve Urkel of "Family Matters" had a mother and a father who were never seen, as far as I know. We did get to see his aunt, though. She was played by Donna Summer!

Actually, Wilson was totally visible in the series finale, at least face-wise.

We never see Iola's parents on Mama's Family even though they are routinely mentioned.
