Now, since this is a personal list, there is no real right or wrong answer since it is up to you and your personal taste in what you enjoy about a show.

I'd have to start with Spock's Brain on Star Trek TOS

Edit: you may argue that it's not a sitcom... I just hope that it was supposed to be funny.

Gimme a Break!: Your Prisoner is Dead

Basically , ANY Chief-centered episodes were the worst. I don't like this show because of him.

"Will the Real Santa Claus...?" - The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries Second season episode, they reintroduce Ned Nickerson like a whole new character, completely ignoring the fact there was a Ned Nickerson in the first season, but now instead of working for Nancy's father he's an FBI agent.

"The Tempest" - The Waltons - 9th season episode. Mary Ellen's husband John Curtis was killed in Pearl Harbor, now she finds out he wasn't killed and is living in Florida and wants nothing to do with his wife or son. A total insult to the character played originally by Tom Bower.

The point was that war is horrible and horrible experiences change people, and usually not for the better.
