And I'm not talking about characters crossing over like Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating.

To give you a better idea, Michael J. Fox guest-starred on Night Court (while in the middle of doing Family Ties) as a runaway who Judge Stone was trying to lure him away from going down the wrong path.

In the '90s, Noah Wyle and George Clooney guest starred on Friends around the same time that ER starred. Meanwhile, Matthew Perry guest starred on The West Wing while he was on Friends in the early 2000s.

Wasn't it great seeing them together again? I really got a BIG BANG out of this episode! Speaking of which, get ready for a cool flashback image from Blossom:

In recent years, the closest I can think of is Sebastian Arcelus, who was a recurring character on House of Cards, also appearing on Madam Secretary.

Do guest voices on The Simpsons or Family Guy count?

Jaleel White once guest starred on Fresh Prince, while still playing Urkel on Family Matters. I always thought that was kinda weird, being the shows were on different networks. That being said, there's an episode of FM where James Avery makes a cameo appearance during the closing scene...
