Has anyone noticed that Gilbert, portrayed by Stephen Talbot, looks sort of unusual in some of the later episodes?

I read that Hugh Beaumont had suffered some kind of family tragedy during the show, and that after a certain point he was never that enthusiastic about it.

But I've also noticed a sort of change in Gilbert's appearance. It seems even more extreme. But apparently he led a fairly normal life and has had a successful career in production since that time.

I think it's the mustache.

I think you're right. Remember, when drinking milk as a kid, they said you had a "milk mustache?"

I love that “I think it’s the mustache.”

Gilbert was sort of a hydrant head especially talking Beaver into doing something wrong like letting him into the movie. Wonder why the usher took them down to the first row there were lots of seats together. It’s so obvious Beaver is sneaking him in. Gilbert claims later he snuck in before and got caught. Gilbert also talks like he’s singing and matured much faster than Jerry.

This is one I don't get, Gilbert looks the same to me, other than he's getting older. I could say I think his hair was cut shorter. But I have no trouble recognizing him.
