I was watching Beaver the Caddy today, and I was thinking how much better this episode looked than most sitcoms would, simply because they went on location at a golf course.
A lot of times, I and others notice and write here about inconsistencies throughout the series. But, we wouldn't be watching if we didn't like the show.
Sometimes I've said they could have avoided many of the inconsistencies if they had a Script Continuity person on the staff. Other shows have this title in the credits. But these shows might not look as well-produced as LITB.
So, here's a totally hypothetical question: What if Connelly and Mosher had been told by their budget people, we can have a Script Continuity Person, or we can go on location as much as possible and make a better-produced show, but we don't have the budget to do both? Which would you have picked?
I'd pick have a more realistic-looking episode. I'd pick going on location. And, we'll go on enjoying the show, and grousing about things like Gates/Harrison/Bates.
