Oxygen Media has picked up new seasons of reality series "Cold Justice" and "Criminal Confessions" from executive producer Dick Wolf. Both series are in pre-production and are set to return in 2018.

“Cold Justice and Criminal Confessions have resonated with our audience as they share a common passion in seeing the journey of justice served,” said Rod Aissa, EVP, Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media.

“We’re thrilled to bring fans new seasons of both shows and to continue working with our amazing producing partners Dick Wolf, Magical Elves and Shed Media in delivering high-quality crime programming.”

Wolf has played a key role in Oxygen Media’s rebrand into a crime-themed cable network, which launched last summer with a new season of Wolf’s reality investigations series "Cold Justice".

The renewal announcement comes on the heels of the network expanding its original series slate in the true-crime genre with 10 new greenlights and the US premiere of a Piers Morgan event series.

“Oxygen has been incredibly supportive of Cold Justice and Criminal Confessions with obvious results,” said Wolf.

“Our fan base is growing and as a result, Cold Justice will continue to provide justice for victims and their families and Criminal Confessions will continue to give viewers an inside look into a side of police work that has never been examined before.”

Here's Your Exclusive First Look at "Cold Justice's" Upcoming Cases
by Keisha Hatchett

New episodes of "Cold Justice" are headed your way soon and TV Guide has your exclusive first look at the upcoming season!

In the first trailer for Season 5 — which premieres Saturday, Aug. 4 at 6/5c on Oxygen — the team takes on disturbing new cases including the murder of Barbara Mendez, a wife and mother from the small town of Oneida County, Wisconsin.

The investigation into her death leads the crew down a dark path where they uncover crimes against children and a church rife with lies, and things get personal when the victim's daughters send a letter to the investigators. The "Cold Justice" team's investigation into Mendez's murder helped provide new resources to authorities, eventually leading to the arrest of her suspected killer.

The unscripted series comes from Dick Wolf, who also serves as executive producer, and follows seasoned prosecutor Kelly Siegler as she and a rotating team of detectives (Johnny Bonds, Steve Spingola, Aaron Sam, Tonya Rider and Abbey Abbondandolo) investigate cases involving small-town slayings that have long since gone cold.

Over the course of the first four seasons, their probing has led to 37 arrests and 18 convictions.
