I never heard any of the cast comment after Mel's death. Especially from Linda Lavin herself.

I know it was a long time ago but does anyone have any reaction of the cast after Vic Tayback's passing?

Wow. I didn't know he was working on a new series, Ginsburg & Habib! I did know he missed a few episodes in 1993 due to open heart surgery.

Still like to hear what Linda & Beth Howland had to say.

Did Vic really create the "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" movie??

It didn't say he created the movie. It said he created the role.

The writers & producers created the role not Vic Tayback.

The writers & producers created the role not Vic Tayback.

First of all, Vic Tayback died, not Mel. Secondly, in the parlance of the entertainment world, to create a role means to be the first actor to play a role, so, yes, Vic Tayback created the role.
