Like Hudson, she is from a prominent entertainment industry family; her mother Naomi and older sister Wynonna formed the country music duo The Judds. Ashley Judd made her screen debut in 1991 in a pair of guest appearances on Star Trek: The Next Generation. She landed a recurring role on Sisters, and in 1992 made her feature film debut in Kuffs.
