In the 2000's Nickelodeon launched LazyTown a show that was a American version of a popular children's show from Iceland that was aimed at kids 7 to 10 that encouraged kids to exercise and play while learning about many different things. Set in the fictional Lazytown the show starred a girl named Stephanie who was known for her pink hair and her friend Ziggy as they tried to get the town busy and active with the help of their friend Sportacus who made his home in an airship while trying to outsmart the villain Robbie Rotten who did his best to not make LazyTown a happy place. What made LazyTown different from other kids shows was the music always was upbeat and made kids get up and dance. As LazyTown became a hugely successful show on Nickelodeon a soundtrack was created featuring the songs from the show and a merchandise deal LazyTown proved to be unique from any other children's show on TV. There should be more shows like LazyTown being made because kids really need to be active and have great fun and learn
