In 1976 singer Adam Wade hosted a game show called Musical Chairs that featured three contestants trying to guess popular songs while music stars made their appearences on Musical Chairs. Among the music guests featured were R&B group Sister Sledge and many other bands were featured too. Although short-lived Musical Chairs was a neat game show that should've been given more episodes and BuzzrTV should add reruns of Musical Chairs to their lineup because it was one of the forgotten game shows of all time

hi, Bestie! Was it like name that tune but with action? Sounds good, I wish they would have a gameshow like that now.

I remember Musical Chairs. It was one of the few game shows to be taped in New York and it was also groundbreaking since it was the first to use an African American host Adam Wade. There were many musical guests on the show, including Sister Sledge, The Spinners, The Tokens and Kelly Garrett. I still remember the theme song that went "Let's play a game called Musical Chairs. Let's here our favorite songs."

I remember that show, too.

Sister Sledge or somebody would start singing a song and the host would stop and ask "Is the next line . . ." and they'd sing three different choices for the next line and the contestants would choose which was right.

Later in the show's run they added a bonus game where the winning contestant would take the lines of a well-known song like "A Hard Day's Night" and put them in order.
