Out of all the Broadcast networks PAX is by far the worst,Even in the case of UPN.Ever since the network started it didn't have the charm of most of the other networks, even UPN which comes to the question What does PAX need to do better? and Will it ever? Hope was brought in for the 2001-2002 when they announced the shows Ponderosa and a few others but they were then dumped in favor of new dramas Body and Soul,Just Cause,Lip Service and Young Blades as well as another new series called Right at Home and new versions of Family Feud now with Richard Karn replacing Louie Anderson of the syndicated version and Beat the clock but one question comes to mind:Is this enough to make PAX better?

Most likely no.PAX just ISN'T a strong network even against the likes of other "Crapnets" UPN and America One.PAX has tried it's fair of new shows,Mostly female-geared dramas but few have worked.Only Doc,Candid Camera and the long-running It's a Miracle remain on the schedule from last season. Now the big question:

IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN SAVE PAX?
Believe it or not....Yes.They can put sitcoms on their schedule for a change!,Maybe a few more game shows, another morning show (Their first and Last was the failed Great Day America),Some cartoons, cooking shows and talk shows.

What do you guys think?

I dont watch PAX Much, so what does that say, lol. But When I look at the ratings, they are at least in the top 115, they are in hte network ratings, but they arent the best. But we also need to keep in mind its a farely new network and it does have hope, it will take time, but I think it will grow. I just think people dont watch it because it seems like a weird network. When I think of PAX, I certainly aint thinking NBC. PAX to me, seems like its geared towards older viewers or more religious viewers, like its trying to be a goodie network, a nice network, or something. It wasnt until just recently I learned it was trying to be a Network. I thought it was more so some kind of cable network. But anyway, give it time, it may grow.

By the way, quit bashing UPN :P. Its not that bad of a network. I like it. I dont have it in my area, I wish it would be though, but ive seen it many times when I go to other areas. I like the Monday shows, except the Hugleys, glad that was canceled, and Enterprise, I dont watch Buffy, but thats good to. I think its an alright network and I like its style.

hey I could be wrong but when NBC had their 75th birthday special recently some biggie @ NBC went on to say a thank you and he mentioned the NBC family. CNBC, MSNBC, Telemudeo (?) and I believe thats it. No mention of the word "PAX".

I have read in Variety magazine that the relationship between PAX and NBC is "..on the rocks" and they did talk about a rumor going around television that ABC was planning a 24/7 ABC News channel and was looking at buying PAX to do just that. Will it happen..well only time will tell but if PAX loses the NBC advantage that will be a major blow to PAX so there is a chance PAX wont be around in 5 years. Just have to wait and see.

the only time I ever watched pax was when they showed nbc's Weakest Link. I really don't like there orignal programming there not my kind of shows. I think it is true what Drew said they are looking for older viewers. I'm 19 so I wouldn't come in that category.

I hope they do take that network off the air it is so boring.

The only new networks the has really proven its self is Fox they get shows in the top 25. None of the other new networks such as the WB,UPN, and Pax have been able to do that. I personally think that we have enough networks anyway.

I think PAX management is tyranical and the tyrant has tunnel vision. Unless that changes, they're doomed.
