Now I'm from Cleveland and the teams that I feel have a great potential in winning is the Cavaliers and Indians. If LeBron James leaves Cleveland...I think the Cavs will have a few years where they'll struggle. This also happened to The Cleveland Indians, trying to find the right formula in winning, but then there's...The Cleveland Clowns!
I HATE The Cleveland Clowns! They went 0-16 and haven't had a winning season in years! The NFL might as well take-over this team or have them suspend operations!
Can someone from their home city have a reason to hate their own home team?

My husband absolutely hates Michigan(U of M). He's a Penn State fan.Me? Tigers Baseball is all I care about. They are in the process of rebuilding the team and kind of stink right now but they are still my team! I could never hate my Detroit Tigers!:)
You don't have to like your home team if you NEVER were a fan, but if you WERE, the whole point of fandom is to support them no matter what, not just when they're winning.

I'm from IL but I have never rooted for a single Chicago team. I think I got prejudiced against them because of the nauseating way the announcers used to excuse Cub/Bull/Bear losses in the 1970s and I never looked back.
Now of course all three teams have had championships, but I've established other teams as my favorites. And I know lots of other IL fans who have done the same.
