View Full Version : Favourite missing persons case? SDR-1970 04-13-2018, 12:27 PM I would be interested to know what's your favourite, solved or unsolved? Yusuke 04-13-2018, 02:51 PM The one I made my website about. drew790 04-13-2018, 03:51 PM Amy Billig always stands out for me. Also Michael Rosenbloom with all the strange twists and turns. JC1957 04-13-2018, 11:36 PM A.J. Breaux schmave 04-14-2018, 10:54 AM The Audrey Moate case always intrigued me. Although the most likely scenario is that she was killed and probably dumped into a swamp, the possibility that she somehow got out alive to who knows where was fascinating. MegtheEgg86 04-14-2018, 06:40 PM I second A.J. Breaux. Fletch 04-14-2018, 10:38 PM I wouldn’t say any are my “favorite” because the fact that people are missing is pretty sad but if we are talking one missing persons case in particular that is intriguing, I’d have to say Tammy Lynn Leppert. sterek1974 04-15-2018, 11:30 AM For many years it was the Sherry Eyrley case because I worked as a pizza delivery driver as a teen. You never know who you will run into on those deliveries. More recently it is the Bryan Nisenfeld case...I think he was a victim of a hate crime. ChandlerMurielB1 04-15-2018, 12:52 PM Sneha Anne Philip DALLASTEXAN!! 04-15-2018, 01:50 PM I have to say AJ Breaux is near the top of my list. I feel so bad for his daughters and do not get the sense that he would leave them behind. I always feel that he was murdered. same with Christy Nichols. Those are two cases that I would love to see solved one day. Hot Jock 04-15-2018, 10:32 PM Sneha Anne Philip Yep. That’s my pick as well. I lean towards her perishing during the WTC attack, but short of her body turning up someday, I’ll never be absolutely certain either way. All of the little instances that happened during her final days/weeks before she disappeared are just as fascinating to me as her disappearance itself. Between the legal problems, her recent and upcoming court appearance, the tryst with another woman, problems at work, etc. it made for an interesting story for sure. Add in the fact that she was beautiful, intelligent, well educated and had a fantastic career ahead of her with the NYC setting and then 9/11 happening all at once and you have a tough time topping this particular case. At least as far as intrigue is concerned. I have visited NYC several times since the 9/11 Memorial was opened. I always make time to visit her panel (S-66) for a few minutes on every trip. I posted photos of it in the UM Locations thread on here sometime ago. Very sad place, but I can’t resist visiting it. LooksLikeCRicci 04-16-2018, 01:26 PM Patricia Meehan. Obviously. I want to know why the sightings in Bozeman were considered "confirmed." I fully believe she suffered a closed head injury in the car accident and never made it out of the prairie alive. Sneha Philip is definitely a close second, though. What a crazy story. soilentgreen 04-16-2018, 01:42 PM Amy Billig, Paul Whipkey and Tammy Leppert. Elizabeth Campbell's disappearance was eerie, in part due to her purse being discovered over 200 miles away in Ozona. I've never believed that the later sightings were of her, and it's also difficult to imagine her hitchhiking the 17 miles home. The guy who dropped her off at the store never seems to have been really checked out by police. dynoguy88 04-16-2018, 02:14 PM I'm getting more and more drawn to the Tara Calico case. Even though everyone who lives in Belen seems to feel they know what happened and who is responsible. A result of teens striking her, panicking and getting help from their parents to bury the body and all evidence. But if what is being alleged is true, it is sooooo much worse than that. And these people need to pay for what they did. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hjpv7RVSoZw/WNKrSwQIpKI/AAAAAAAACX0/sXJnSfqYWEMorr-WCt7LcLX1ILSucgGggCEw/s1600/tara002.jpg https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zc45VUGCyQ4/WNKrTaG-8YI/AAAAAAAACX4/twIIrT5LXuolTOT9DCF4BnjzQ0aHAQzeACEw/s1600/tara003.jpg unsolved243 04-16-2018, 02:38 PM I agree with Paul Whipkey; such a strange case. I also am very interested in Cynthia Anderson's case, and the case of John and Linda Sohus (although that case is mostly solved now). Over the weekend, I also became interested in the 10 missing persons cases profiled in a special alert. Particularly the David Tyll/Brian Ogjnan, Julie Weflen, Diana Braungardt, Kyle Clinkscales, and Susan Cappel cases. All of them are very bizarre cases that would have been great if they had full segments on the show. |
