Way before he became Cordell Walker on CBS's Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris had his own cartoon series in the 80's called Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos where he taught a team of kids how to do awesome karate moves while having adventures along the way. Each episode featured an intro by Chuck Norris telling kids what the episode for that day was about as well as advice to kids about such topics such as stranger danger and trying your best at things. It's amazing that Chuck Norris was a huge action star and that this cartoon is one of the most forgotten cartoons of the 80's

The show is not being re-run. It was last aired on Adult Swim in 2004. The complete series (a whole 5 episodes! Hence its obscurity) is available on dvd from warner archive.

Chuck Norris is gone.

So sad to report this skilled and talented man has left us.

I first met him when he taught me how to break a balsa block of wood with a karate chop at his academy in Torrance, CA.

From there, I played the character of Pepper in his Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos animated series and had the delight of working with him.

He was a strong man who stood by his beliefs and so enhanced them world by being in it.

You will be sorely missed, dear Chuck. RIP!
