In this episode, Beaver's short-lived nemesis, Penny, is moving to Bellport. Beaver pitches a fit, and doesn't want to attend her farewell party (even though it appears to be in the classroom). Likewise, Penny throws a fit when she discovers her mother has invited "that awful" Beaver Cleaver (again, it appears to be in school, where all the kids will be there, anyway).

Beaver discovers he kind of likes Penny, and they have a discussion where they admit they like each other, and she gives him her Grant Avenue School pencil box. Later, Whitey calls Beaver and tells him that Penny will be allowed to stay in Mayfield so she can finish out the school year. This news upsets Beaver, until he picks a fight with her the next day, and they go back to their normal adversarial relationship.

In one humorous scene, June tells Wally that she thinks Beaver likes Penny. Wally exclaims, "Likes her? He's flipped over her!"

Anyway, I apologize for this long episode description, which everyone knows, anyway...but my question is: Penny supposedly stays so she can finish out the school year, but I think, nevertheless, this episode was Karen Sue Trent's last appearance, wasn't it? I'm pretty sure she didn't appear in any episodes after this one.

This was a favorite of episode of mine, maybe because I once knew someone like Penny.

The very next episode, "Beaver the Bunny."

The only other two episodes where she really starred that I can think of were two earlier ones, "Beaver's Team" and "Beaver's Doll Buggy."

Of course the same person also played the part of the cowgirl Beaver and Larry met when they ditched dancing school.

Uh...right. Maybe Beaver the Bunny is the last one?

I think we're supposed to assume the girl riding the horse turns out to be Penny, since Penny later makes at least one reference to being in a horse show or something similar.

Penny was in several episodes where she had a scene or two like Junior Fire Chief, IQ Test, Beaver’s Secret Life and Beaver’s Poster. I wonder if she ever married a rich doctor.
