Family Guy has gone down in quality (https://www.toonzone.net/forums/threads/is-family-guy-irrelevant-now.5649652/) over the years and has lost millions of viewers. What exactly is the reason for this and why does Fox refuse to let the show end?

Family guy ruined itself. You can only be perpetually stupid for so long before it loses its flavor.

The only reason it's still on is due to its 9PM Sunday timeslot.

I think the reason why Family Guy eats now is because it got more anti-God!

I get it MacFarlane...you're an atheist and you say "going to church is a waste of time"!...

Not that Ive watched the show in quite a while, but it's not a dead horse one can beat too much.

I can still tolerate Family Guy because it likes to push buttons on conservative pansies. Its The Simpsons which has been on auto pilot for years.

The early years were the funniest because it was just the stupid humor, constant punch lines. No one was preachy and MacFarlane wasn't pushing his liberal, atheist viewpoints yet. That changed around 2007 with the endless Bush bashing and Brian becoming the insufferable liberal mouthpiece. I'm surprised the show has not been much more anti-Trump the past two years (obviously they were never going to rip on Obama and can't remember one time they did).
Politics aside, after 20 years the show is just tired. There's not much new to go on. I just wish they'd call it quits.

^^This. Plus, I stopped smoking pot a few years back, so it's rarely funny anymore.
