This question is about the episode where Mike has been asked to drive Carol to her appointment with the gynecologist.

Does this subtly indicate that Carol was sexually active?

Or are there other reasons a healthy 16-year-old would be going to a gynecologist?

Just wondering.

A healthy 16-year-old girl might go to a gynecologist for many reasons. Many girls in their teens have a hard time with their period. Some even go on the pill just so that it will stabilize their cycle. I don't think that this implied that she was sexually active. I just think the writers added that because it’s embarrassing and funny for a teenage boy to be in a gynecologist office.

Yeah, going there doesn't mean you are.

There was an episode (don't know the number) where, at breakfast, Maggie said, "Mike, don't forget that you have to drive Carol to her gynecologist's appointment after school today."

Mike gave a look of sheer disgust and resigned himself to drive her there. There was really nothing more in this episode about it. I wonder why they brought it up in the script and then let it die --- no "follow up" ??

Yeah I remember that episode. That's the one where Mike and that girl went into Manhattan to audition for a broadway play. I think it was "Our town" Emily was the name of the girl who went with him I think.
