A pickup for a second season (11th overall) is a no-brainer. But as The Hollywood Reporter notes, ABC will get to charge even higher rates for commercials following the record-breaking ratings. Roseanne was already commanding $175,000 per 30-second ad, a rate that is sure to soar. "We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes," said ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey in a statement. "The show is as fresh and relevant today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago. We can’t wait to see what the Roseanne team has in store for next year."

Season 2 will be expanded to 13 episodes, up from Season 1's nine (http://tvline.com/2018/03/30/roseanne-renewed-season-11-abc-more-episodes-2019/)

Wow! That Rosanne Revival prove it was really not that bad but also off to a good start.

This is great news. I hope we get a full order for this season this time and we get to see Fred Willard and Martin Mull come back.

Wow! That Rosanne Revival prove it was really not that bad but also off to a good start.

The revival proved a ton of people watched the first episode, most likely out of nostalgia, even by people who enjoyed the show's first three years but wavered around the time Tom Arnold left (season 3 or 4 or so). And there's no better way to shove in every possible tokenism from the checklist because it's a premiere/pilot episode. Future episodes might help show if it's all empty tokenism or if there's meat to the proverbial bone.

I'm waiting to see how subsequent episodes hold up and if there's something to truly thank her about, noting she's already said how she has "nothing to prove" so what would that mean? If it's all about having fun, then using politics is an interesting choice since nobody finds that to be fun.

But she did say a couple things of interest in the premiere. It probably won't turn the heads of too many people, though.

A lot of people who did tune in said "It's okay, but it's not great, Roseanne's ___ was wrong" (where ___ = politics, math, whatever...) Some did say it was great. Some hated it. Good for everyone.

Well as somebody who loved the first 5 or six seasons and had stopped watching it regularly by season 8 I loved the new Roseanne. :D
