There are shows listed on some of the decades forums that have run their course and should be archived.

The 50's forum has a thread on a series, "It's a Great Life", the thread last had a post in November of 2013, and that post is in fact the only post so far this decade. There are a few series from the 50's that currently do not have a dedicated thread that could be added to see if there was any interest.

The 60's forum has two series, "Hennesey" and "The Good Guys" that should be archived. The Hennesey thread hasn't had a posting in 5 years, and the traffic before that was always light to say the least. The Good Guys thread has had no activity in 4 years, between 2011 and 2014 the thread averaged only one posting a year. Again there are several series that could be added that might interest fans of the 60's forum.

The 2010's have several threads that either have no postings (Love Thy Neighbor for example) or represent series that were on for such a short period of time that whatever has been posted is all that will be posted.

Yes, somebody probably ought to go through these...it would probably make sense to get rid of programs that have no posts and are no longer shown on any channel. The 1950s decade should probably also have The Jack Benny Program added. It most often follows a sitcom format and is on Antenna TV.

It makes me wonder how these shows even got a board in the first place. I have truly never even heard of some of these '50s shows, much less seen them on TV.

Agree. I think they should be closed or archived and then be pooled into a forum for each decade where you can discuss those miscellaneous or long forgotten TV shows.

Long-forgotten Sitcoms would make a good topic to pool them under.

There isn't any harm in having boards for more obscure shows. Being the 50s decade, a whole lot of those shows wouldn't have been syndicated much like the evergreens I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best etc. It would set a dangerous precedent here to start removing show boards that have not been active in a few years.

My thinking is that if they've faded into oblivion (almost no posts) now, there's not much hope they'll ever be recovered.

Conversely, if a show has still remained relevant (plenty of posts) after 60+ years, they'll likely never fade into oblivion. For a show to remain popular for 60 years means its popularity has well-outlived the lives of the majority of its original audience and thus must have caught the attention of younger generations, in a cycle that will almost certainly continue for years to come.
