About the only thing I can add to Luckymama's and JennyLee's accounts is that the whole trip Lucky and I made to NYC was sooo wonderful, I can't wait to do it again! We took a carriage ride through Central Park, visited St. Patrick's Cathedral (once on Saturday just to look around and take pictures--and to light a candle and pray for Laz in front of the image of the Virgin of Guadeloupe, the one Chico always talked to--then on Sunday for Mass).
We saw the NBC studios and Rockefeller Center (we could just make out the Today Show set through a window!), and the NBC store (no CATM merchandise :( , and only one tiny clip from the show on the TV monitor that was playing constantly--but it was from the pilot, where Freddie goes into his British accent talking about wanting to be "the first Chicano associated with this thriving enterprise" LOL! ).
There was a huge Pokemon Center store where I bought souvenirs for my girls, and Lucky took my picture in front of a window where R2D2 and C3PO from Star Wars were on display, also for my girls' benefit! We bought them and ourselves really nice T-shirts from a street vendor (which I saw later in a shop for over twice the money! ).
I am sure I am forgetting something from the time before we went to the show, but the show itself and the time after is engraved on my heart forever! Getting to spend time talking to Laz in the diner and when we took him home was the sweetest part of the whole trip! And not just because he was soooo much like Freddie--he is a wonderful person in his own right and is going to go very far as an actor and a writer, I am convinced! :loveya:

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time! I have always loved NYC, but never got to go there. I love to watch Times Square on the "Earth Cam" site (web cams pointed at various points in Times Square).
I hope Laz goes far in whatever he wants to do!

Sounds like you had the time of your life here in NYC! I have yet to see the sitcom(Chico and the Man)and my mother told me that it was a very hilarious show. She also said that he had the potential to go far in his career but the poor guy never lived to see the day.:(
There is also a store called FAO Schwartz in NYC. It's a nice store but some of their toys are over-priced.
I'm glad you had a great time though!!:)

 What? You've never seen the show!? It was a very funny show-- Jack Albertson and Freddie Prinze worked so well together-they were a great comedy team! It was a real treat for TVLand to air the the show again!

It sounds like you ladies had a wonderful time in NYC. Through your renditions of all the fabulous events, I almost felt like I was right there with you. I'm so happy you all got a chance to meet one another and had the opportunity to see Laz do his "Freddie thing". Someday I'm sure you will be able to say "I knew him when". Thank you again for sharing the great pictures and your beautiful memories with us.

Thanks! Yeah, thats me-- I drew in the sunglasses because I'm so shy! I wish that picture could be true! That picture is about 5 years old, but it was perfect to superimpose that pic of Freddie with 'cause I'm turned just right! I'm afraid I've gained a little weight since then! Oh, well!
After reading about the trip to NYC to see Laz, I really want to go there! :D

Oh you've got to see the show! It is so much fun! Even back in the 70's before I got into Freddie (got into him in the TVLAND re-runs last yr), I watched the show & enjoyed it! You will love it! & Freddie! I feel so sorry for the younger people who missed out on all this neat stuff like seeing CATM. TVLAND has got to re-run it again. There are folks needing to see the show! :)
