But they won't play it unless they know people actually want to see it!


Because they are actually taking this very serious, they gave me a number where you can directly talk to the man in charge of this station!

I am just telling you guys because this station is actually planning to air FOL during the summer. If you don't call, you are just not helping the effort of getting FOL on air.


Playing FOL, on KDOC does not prevent from airing on TNN, TVLand, or Nick-At-Nite. KDOC plays Saved By The Bell while WGN, The WB (KTLA), TBS, and other stations still air it.

:( Its not that I dont want to help but I wont be able to watch it on that network becasue I dont live near LA. Besides, we are tryign to get Facts of Life on networks that alot of people have. FOL probally wont get alot of publicity on that network. Its not a bad idea becasue if I lived there. I would do it but since I dont I can't. I'm really sorry.

Have you tried calling your cable provider and asking them if they could pick up TVLand? I didnt have this channel and I called my cable people. They said it wasnt coming to my area for 2 years but I woke up a week later and it was there, on my TVGuide Channel and I still have it.

:idea:Hey- i think we should all call our cable people and ask if they could pick up that channel that is considering putting on FOL!! If it worked for me w\TVLand it mgiht work for this channel too!!

Viacom which owns N@N, TVland, and TNN still owns the rights... I mean they just bought it for Nick at Nite two years ago and they showed it last November for a whole weekend so they still own it. Therefore i dont see how this other station could get it.

Congratulations on getting FOL back on the air, but you have to see some of our viewpoints. If TNN or N@N started to consider putting FOL back on the air, they would see that someone else was already playing it, and they would probably turn it down. We ALL want to see FOL back on the air, and we ALL can't see FOL if the only people who can see it are the people who live in LA.

BTW... you DO need to check your facts because a lot of us HAVE done things to get FOL back on the air.

Even though VIACOM owns the rights to it still, it only owns cable rights. Local stations (ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX/WB/UPN) can still air it in syndication. But I've always been lead to think that "The Facts of Life" hasn't been in local syndication since the mid-90s.. "Three's Company" played on around 5 local stations when N@N picked it up. "Cheers" is on like 354552, and "The Cosby Show" is on like 413541543542535235.1

BTW, can't wait till 2045..I'm getting out the tapes! ;)

...I started this campaign since LAST SUMMER!!! (2001) :o


KDOC is still planning to play FOL this summer, but they are not sure if their fans will like it because they mostly play 1:00 dramas (like, Benacek, Columbo, Ironside, Matlock, etc.) The only comedy they currently play is, "Saved By The Bell."


They are also planning to air, "Mr. Belvedere," and "Small Wonder."
