The Church of Scientology is getting its own TV network. The controversial group, headed by David Miscavige, is poised to launch a channel on DirectTV and platforms Apple TV and Roku on Monday.
Evidence of the network is already on Apple's app store, where "Scientology TV" is available for download from The Church of Scientology International. Running the app reveals a placeholder announcement that content will officially launch at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. P.T. There's also a newly launched Twitter account, with first updates coming early Sunday morning, pointing to a website that doesn't yet appear to be up and running.
Request for comment from the Church of Scientology was not immediately returned, but a DirecTV spokesperson confirmed the Monday launch. A promo video indicates the network will occupy the satellite service's channel 320 (currently infomercials).
It's not immediately clear what the network will entail, or who from the church's deep bench of famous members may be enlisted for the programming, but the app references live streaming and "full episodes of your favorite shows."

Yong Fang 03-12-2018, 04:43 AM I would watch it because cults fascinate me and this is a cult. A horrible cult where the person basically gives away their whole estate of money to end up buying a bunch of bull---t courses written by an insane man who promises superpowers and being "clear", or something. There is an E Meter thing which is basically two beer cans tied to a bubble gum machine.
L. Ron Hubbard's birthday is tomorrow. We have the same birthday.

Ever heard of Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research? That to has cult style undertones...as a matter of fact...most cults are Freemasonry in disguise! But for this TV series, will I watch?

tlc38tlc38 03-16-2018, 01:23 PM What's sad about this is there will actually be people who just so happen to flip through the channels and start watching this bull and become hooked on it.

Actually, all religions are cults. Some are just worse than others.

Some people need to stop bashing religions and considering them the same as cults. They are not. Religions are hardly the same thing is cult, but some small-minded people who would apparently rather hate than find out true information, are just plain ignorant and arrogant. Just had to say my piece and get it out of the way. My two cents. My two RIGHT cents. Some people are just wrong and need to get over the fact that religions are not the same thing as cults.
Wawwie 03-17-2018, 11:09 PM ^^^ Please explain the "true information" and also enlighten us ignorant people on how subscribing to an organized religion isn't cult.
I'm waiting. So please enlighten us with your ways of wisdom.

I totally agree
Svenfan1234 03-18-2018, 08:41 AM I totally agree
And the ignorance continues to show... so sad that some people are bashing religions and refuse to acknowledge that cults are cults and religions are religions. I don't have to prove it myself since the proof is already there but the ignorant and arrogant and pompous will always choose to ignore. So sad, really. You guys choose not to look at the truth but instead made up hypocrisy. And once and for all, religions and cults are not the same thing. Good day, all.
Wawwie 03-18-2018, 11:48 AM What's "the truth"? Us ignorant/arrogant folks are still waiting to learn what this "truth" is.
